Greenhouse warmly welcomes David Johnson to our roster of artists in the New Year. A native son of Chicago, where he resides with his wife and children, David was instrumental in creating True Chicago, a non-profit forum which empowers young black and brown teens to pursue the arts through mentorship with professionals. David’s own photography career was kick started when he picked up a camera to document a school trip. Having found a way to focus his energies on the visual world around him, he soon started to find expression in the authentic worlds of the people he met. Whether shooting small business campaigns for Google, The Solutions Campaign for Motorola or traveling the Globe for Microsoft, David has developed into a Visual Narrator who captures a company’s vision through the diversity in the world he explores.
